Dot skip, missing dot, solution!

Some time ago, while shooting a video with Nikon and D850, I noticed that there were white dots on the screen.

Some are red, some are white, and some are ...

It seems that there are more than 10 instead of one.

"Aryalya Lya,"

You can't use this!

I didn't notice it in bright places during the day, but when I increased the sensitivity in dark places, it became very noticeable.

Once I noticed it, I became worried about missing dots even if I lowered the sensitivity.

Is this dot on the screen? And, when you enlarge the screen, it will be enlarged together.

It comes from the sensor, not the screen.

Is the sensor useless?

I don't use the D850 so much!

Have you been caught in a used inferior goods? Such a thing goes through my head.

If you check the missing dots in the photo, the white dots are clearly visible.

It's not very noticeable in photos, it's easy to erase, and it gives up, but it's not so in videos.

It can be very noticeable in some situations.

I searched for a solution on the net with the thought of clinging to straw.

If you search on the net, you can make the dot omissions invisible by doing pixel mapping.

By the way, it seems that there are missing dots and hot spots.

Missing dots remain black even when the sensor receives light, and hot spots receive light even when the sensor does not receive light.

So, it seems that the correct answer is that the camera used by the manager is a hotspot rather than a missing dot.

It is said that the storage process should be done by pixel mapping, but such a function is not found in the menu of D850.

Do I have to put it out for Japanese service ???

Paid if the warranty period has passed ???

It seems to be quite expensive.

Seeing such information at the bottom of despair, my heart becomes more and more squeezed.

If you continue searching for good information,

I don't know which article it is now, but it is an article that missing dots and hot spots disappear and disappear just by setting cleaning and mirror lockup for about 30 seconds.

I will try it immediately.

Select cleaning mirror lockup from the menu screen of your favorite D850.

"The hotspot disappears ... !!!"

With that in mind, when I clicked on it, I couldn't click because the battery level was insufficient, so I gave up.

A safety function that prevents the shutter and mirror from returning when the battery is dead and the sensor is being cleaned.

Reinsert the fully charged battery again, and carry out the cleaning mirror lockup with the intention of "disappearing the hotspot!", Which is stronger than before!

Wait for a long time, 1 minute.

Immediately after the operation, I increased the sensitivity and shot the darkness in 4K.

All the hotspots that I couldn't help but noticed before have disappeared!

Everything from the ones that stood out to the ones that were small! !!

It does not appear even when shooting at the highest sensitivity, ISO 25600.

It does not appear on the finder screen.

By doing such a simple thing, the problem of missing dots and hotspots is completely solved!

I was so happy that I got goose bumps all over my body.

There is also online information.

Maybe it's mentioned in the instruction manual.

For Nikon users who have similar problems, we recommend that you perform cleaning mirror lockup.

Just set it without cleaning.

It should be effective.

This time, we have taken up useful information.
