I will introduce the work after the last painting.
■
When the upper ceiling of the driver's seat was peeled off, rust was exposed.
The rust is progressing more than I expected, and it looks terrible.
"No matter how you think about it, it's not a task to do after painting!"
This rust was patiently peeled off over several hours using a screwdriver, hammer, etc.
The interior of the car, which was painted with much effort, is again covered with rusted iron powder.
As I was removing the rust, I found a new hole in the ceiling.
Immediately repair the hole by welding an iron plate.
This time the last welding
After this, paint rust preventive.
Welded parts and the surface of the car body will be painted again.
Troublesome twice!
Repair completed
Restoration of the rusted and shabby ceiling is almost complete.
Ready to line.
Ceiling and sponge replacement work
All the lining and sponge around the hatch were peeled off and replaced with a new sponge.
There was no rust on the back of the ceiling.
In the middle of lining replacement
The surface material of the lining was pasted from the front where the sponge was finished.
The hatch part was pasted without peeling off the original lining
The front and rear hatch linings are layered.
By stacking them, the noise from the outside was reduced and the inside of the car became quieter.
Especially the sound of rain became quieter.
I wonder if the heat transfer in direct sunlight and the heat retention have improved.
All upholstery is complete
I chose dark gray so that I could easily see my smartphone and computer screen in the car even under the scorching sun.
The outside scenery is easier to see and you can feel the coolness.
Re-covered steering
The surface of the steering wheel, which has been worn for 17 + α years and has become shabby, has also been renewed.
I am impressed that the steering cover has been used so far.
I changed the steering cover to a new material, and it felt very nice to stick to my hand.
It will reduce hand fatigue even when driving for a long time.
The driver's seat and passenger's seat have all been replaced.
All cracks and damage in the lower part of the driver's seat were welded and painted in black, and repaired as much as possible for the time being.
The mesh spring in the lower part of the butt was broken, so I replaced it.
The sitting position is slightly higher, and the chair position moves 2 notches forward.
The sitting comfort has also improved significantly.
For finishing work after finishing the lining
The big work is almost completed.
All that remains is to return the wiring and parts to their original locations.
In the evening, a diesel locomotive pulled a passenger car up the hill.
A landscape that you see only once every evening.
Due to the influence of Corona, a ban on going out after 7 pm has been issued.
The train also passed more than 30 minutes earlier than usual.
So, I rounded up the work earlier than usual.
