A small but black spot that seems to be a black spot appeared
It's been a while since I've seen sunspots, so I'll report them.
On July 22, black spots appeared, roughly on the photo is north
The sun tended to be cloudy for a while and I couldn't see it easily.
Yesterday, I saw a little sunny day.
When I pointed the camera at it, a sunspot appeared from the west of the sun in the southern hemisphere of the sun.
Is it the beginning of the 25th cycle of solar activity?
Enlarged to the same size as the pixel, white spots can be seen around the sunspot
By the way, will the activity of the sun become active as a result of this sunspot?
(The shade on the surface of the sun is due to the thin clouds.)
I will continue to observe whether it will change in the same way.
Small little black dots
Looking closely at the photo I took on July 12, I found a small sunspot near the equator.
It's a very small sunspot.
Maybe dust on the sensor?
Although it is in the Southern Hemisphere, it has a low latitude near the equator.
Leftovers of the 24th term?
Looking at the solar observation site, it seems that extremely small sunspots have occurred.
It doesn't look like garbage.

Pixel 1x, so small even when enlarged
Is such a small thing a sunspot?
Sun taken through R64 filter
When I take a picture of the sun through an Hα filter, I can see the activity of the sun that I can't see in visible light, but I don't have it.
It's a little expensive filter, but I definitely want it.
Thinking about it, "Hmm!" I have a visible light cut and infrared transmission R64 filter at hand.
Alright, let's take a picture with this.
I attached an R64 filter and took a picture of the sun.
The result is as follows.
As you can see in color
The pattern of shades on the surface of the sun has faded compared to shooting with visible light.
I tried to make it black and white, but the result was not enough to put it on.
I feel that the sunspots are smaller than yesterday
There seems to be little change in shades in the sun pattern and near-infrared region.
No particular advantage of the R64 filter was seen in photographing the surface of the sun.
After all, in order to see the state of the sun in detail, it seems that a filter that allows only a special area to pass through, such as a dedicated Hα filter, is needed.
Latest sun image
I just took a picture of the sun.
A 500mm lens was used to increase the magnification.
Latest sun image, 16:58 (+3 GMT)
The above photo is the same size as the pixel
As expected, the image is different from 500mm and 300mm.
It showed me more details.
There is less deterioration in image quality than this old TC301, 2x teleconverter, AFI TC-20E.
Uses Fuji's gelatin filter ND4.0.
This ND4, the color is green, and the tone curve suppresses green a little.
In the future, I would like to observe whether these sunspots will grow significantly or disappear.
I'll cover that in this blog from time to time.
When the white balance is taken in daylight and daylight, the color of the sun is neutral.
It has become a complete black-and-white photograph.
It's a little uninteresting, it's not like the sun.
The charm of solar observation
It is possible to predict planetary operations and meetings for thousands of years.
On the other hand, it is possible to speculate what will happen to the change in the activity of the sun, but it will not be known until then.
That's why it's worth observing.
The caretaker himself has just started the other day.
People who observed the sun with a telescope for the first time 400 years ago, learned about sunspots, and continued to observe.
When you observe the state of the sun yourself, you can feel the mood of the people who were observing the sun at that time.
You can easily find out the detailed activity of the sun by searching online.
But something is dull.
A convenient world where you can find the results immediately by searching.
After all, I think it's the only way to move, shoot, and watch.
Simple and easy things don't feel rewarding or fun.
It is around this time that I think about that.

* It is very dangerous to shoot the sun.
If you are thinking of shooting the sun, please take a look at this blog as it details the precautions.
